Volunteer at WVTF & RADIO IQ

At WVTF and RADIO IQ, we love our volunteers. Without them, we would not be able to conduct our fund drives or run our Radio Reading Service for the visually impaired. Volunteers also assist with our art open house

Thank you very much for both your support of public radio and for your interest in becoming a volunteer! As you may already know, volunteers answer phones during our Fund Drives and take pledges of financial support. So, if you can spare a few hours from your busy schedule, then consider helping us in March, June and October. We need you! Help us to keep YOUR stations on the air by participating in this vital portion of our programming.

PleaseEmail us to volunteer.

You can also learn more about the valuable service we provide on our Radio Reading Service at On the 67kHz section of our signal, we read current newspapers, books and magazines to individuals with vision impairments. Our service is on the air twenty four hours a day, each day of the week. Volunteers come to our station for both live and pre-recorded reads. How long and when you read is a function of what you read. The frequency of your reading schedule is up to you. Call us if you are interested at 800-856-8900 and we’ll set up an appointment for a brief reading test, and, hopefully, sign you up for a read.
