Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine has cast a vote supporting President Obama’s request to use military force in Syria.

Senators on the Foreign Relations Committee spent hours this week weighing classified intelligence about the Syrian regime while also discussing ways to tweak a new compromise authorization measure putting limits on the president’s initial request. Kaine says it’s in America’s interest to support the international ban on chemical weapons.

A new program is rolling out that provides tax credits for scholarship donations to private schools in Virginia.

Passed by the 2012 Virginia General Assembly Session, The Education Improvements Scholarships Tax Credit Program has significant support from non-public, faith-based schools.
