UVA Fans Are No Strangers to Omaha

www.c-ville.com

The University of Virginia baseball team has its back against the wall at the College World Series in Omaha. Vanderbilt took Game One in the best-of-3 championship series, 9-8. UVA’s trips to Omaha are drawing repeat visitors with hopes of seeing the Cavaliers go all the way...

It isn’t just for baseball.  Don Luttrell and his wife, Linda, from Zion Crossroads followed the men’s basketball team to Omaha two years ago.

They became familiar with Omaha from the 2011 trip for the College World series.  Now they’re back with high hopes after arriving late Sunday night for the championship series.

"We’ve watched it evolve and I think we’re at the top of our game now," said Don Luttrell.

At this point, UVA needs to be at the top of its game.

It’ll take two straight wins in the next two days for the Cavaliers to win the national baseball championship.  After falling behind, 9-0, in the first game, the Cavaliers’ rally fell short.
