Family Friendly New Year's Eve Celebrations Around Virginia

New Year’s Eve rounds out the holiday season. Here's a look at family-friendly ways to ring in the new year, around the state.

Noon Year's Eve at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond

For those who don't want to stay up until midnight, the Science Museum in Richmond hosts a countdown at noon on December 31. The kid friendly event features a quirky ball drop where 2,018 bouncy balls will fall from the ceiling along with confetti. At noon there's an apple juice toast. Admission to the museum is required, but there's no additional cost.

Ticket prices include activities like face painting, a magic show, and cartoon character appearances.
