Virginia Conversations on RADIO IQ with BBC
Virginia Conversations is our live weekly program broadcasting from the mountains of Southwestern Virginia to the shores of Tidewater. The issues-oriented one-hour program is produced by Virginia Public Radio and focuses on timely topics of statewide interest. The program features interviews with studio guests and takes calls from listeners. Virginia Conversations' host is May Lily Lee and is produced by Jerry Caldwell.
Prior to joining Virginia Conversations, May Lily was the host and senior producer of "Virginia Currents" on public television stations statewide. She has covered gubernatorial inaugurations for public broadcasting dating back to Governor Doug Wilder and has been the host of weekly programs from the state capitol during General Assembly sessions. Ms. Lee's broadcast news career started at Richmond's WTVR-FM where she was the station's news director and morning news anchor.
Virginia Conversations airs Friday mornings at 9:00 on WVTF and RADIO IQ With BBC News in central and western Virginia and those areas plus Fredericksburg and Richmond on RADIO IQ; on WHRV as well as its repeater transmitters in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area and on Virginia's Eastern Shore, WEHC in Emory which serves Abingdon, Bristol & far southwestern VA; and WLUR in Lexington.
In addition to the over the air broadcasts, Virginia Conversations is streamed live over the Internet on WWW.WVTF.ORG and the program can be heard on demand and downloaded through www.virginiapublicradio.org
