United Offers Direct Flights from Richmond to Denver

http://www.anna.aero

Flying out west got a little easier for Virginians. For the first time, Richmond’s airport has launched daily non-stop flights to Denver, Colorado through United Airlines. They’re now the longest and farthest flights out of the international airport.

Of all the places you can fly to from Richmond, Denver is the 11th most popular destination. That’s behind some major east coast cities, says Troy Bell, Director of Marketing at the airport.

“1,2 and 3 look like Boston, Atlanta and I believe Orlando’s number 3. We’ve had some changes at the top.”

And with a new easier direct flight, Denver may be working its way higher on that list. More than 60,000 passengers fly between the two cities now -- and that’s not including those who keep going to other destinations.

“If you look also at what happens beyond Denver, where folks can go from Richmond to Denver and then connect to points farther west, the entire passenger pool is well over 600,000.”

Economy tickets for the 3-hour flight will range between $300 and $600.
