In Nelson County Circuit Court, Randy Allen Taylor has been indicted on new charges related to the August disappearance of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy.
Taylor appeared in court after a special grand jury indicted him on charges of 1st degree murder, murder during commission of an abduction, and abduction with intent to defile.
Nelson County Commonwealth's Attorney Anthony Martin, standing with Murphy's family at a news conference, wouldn't talk about any new evidence in the case.
A judge has issued a gag order in the case, to keep both parties from divulging information.
Taylor also faces a jury trial in February on another charge of abduction in connection to the case.
