Jesse Matthew Indicted in Fairfax

The man charged with the abduction of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham is being indicted on charges of rape, abduction and attempted capital murder in Fairfax.

The new charges against Jesse Matthew stem from a 2005 rape where a 26 year old woman was attacked walking home from the grocery store.

Fairfax County's Commonwealth's Attorney Ray Morrogh says he won't go into details concerning evidence.

That case out of Fairfax City was linked by DNA evidence to the abduction and murder of Morgan Harrington---a Virginia tech student who was abducted and murdered after attending a concert at UVA five years ago.

Matthew has not been charged with Harrington's murder, but Virginia State Police say his arrest provided a "significant break in the case."
