Apartment Searched, Car Seized in Graham Investigation

Charlottesville Newsplex

As the search continues for missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, authorities spent this afternoon searching an apartment unit at the Hessian Hill Apartment complex, off of Barracks Road.

Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo says the search was prompted by one of the most productive leads so far in the search for the 18-year-old, last seen nearly 7 days ago.

Authorities searching  for Graham are now welcoming volunteers to join their effort this weekend.

The Department of Emergency Management says volunteers who want to help search must register with the department at this website  before five o'clock this evening.

There's also a volunteer search briefing scheduled for tonight at 7 at the John Paul Jones Arena.
