Sandy Hausman joined the Radio IQ team in 2008 after living and working in Chicago for 30 years. Since then, she's won numerous national and regional awards for her prolific coverage of the environment, criminal justice, research and happenings at the University of Virginia.   • The agency that oversees wildlife in Virginia reports a growing number of sick or dead birds in the eastern part of the state – likely victims of a new strain of bird flu. Sandy Hausman reports on what this might mean for wild birds around the state, for farm animals and for people.
