Join NPR, WVTF, RADIO IQ and New City Arts for new paintings by Norman Brenbridge. His new exhibit “North African Light” will be on display at the WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery during the month of July.

“North African Light” was most influenced by viewing a painting by Corot of Tober Island, a work of the 1820’s, with almost Cubist sensibilities of opening up three dimensional volumes on a two dimensional canvas.

Although the Neoclassicists of the 19th century preferred the architecture of France and Italy, especially their ancient ruins, Brenbridge wandered further afield, into the realms of North Africa, with its more varied forms and intense lights, to synthesize atmosphere and space.

Join NPR, WVTF, RADIO IQ and New City Arts for new paintings by Stephen Balut. His new exhibit "The Color of Infinity" will be on display at the WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery during the month of September.

During the month of October join NPR, WVTF, RADIO IQ, and New City Arts for a new work by Kaki Dimock. Her exhibit "Hiding in Plain Sight" will be on view at the WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery.

Kaki is interested in the animal kingdom and what happens beneath the surface.  Her whimsical illustrations blur the lines between the animal kingdom and our built landscape by making much of what's familiar to us (birds and downtown buildings) strange through exaggerated scale and comical relationships (like a penguin walking a turtle). After her first public exhibit in October 2011, Kaki has had a wave of successful shows.

The WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery is localed at 216 West Water Street, Charlottesville.

During the month of November NPR, WVTF, RADIO IQ and New City Arts presents a new exhibit by Joan Griffin “Woven Journeys” at the WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery.
